School Time

School days, school days oh how excited we are for school days! With summer coming to an end and fall quickly coming, we all know what that means...School Time!
Baylee entered the 3rd grade this year! She is so excited. We switched year round tracks this year, so she's a little nervous because all her close friends are on the other track. I'm not worried though, she's a sweet girl and finds friends easily.
**Baylee's first day August 17, 2009**

Brinley is set for kindergarten! This girl has been counting down the days. Baylee started school a week earlier than Brinley and that was torture for her (and me). All I heard was, "is it school day today Mom?" for a week. Finally the big day came and she couldn't be more excited!! Baylee was excited to have her little sister join her at school. She told us that she was going to keep an eye out for Brin!
They ride their scooters to school.
And they're off...
Brinley has all her best buddies in her class. I feel sorry for her teacher!! She doesn't know what she's in for. Maddie, Brinley, Jane and Easton...they're all so excited waiting outside for their new teacher to come out to get them.
Brinley joked that she was in jail. Really she's just in the kindergarten drop off. I thought it was a cute picture of the
"jail bird".
Having fun before school starts...
At the very last minute, Easton decided that he didn't want to go to school and took off running. He made it off the school grounds and was headed home!! Bobbi had to chase him down (with the help of another mom) and carry him back to the school. He even took his shoes off so he could run faster. I'm pretty sure that Bobbi didn't think it was funny (at the time) but the rest of us did! I felt bad though, Bobbi had to go to school with Easton. It was the only way he would not cry and cooperate with the teacher. It made for a very memorable first day of kindergarten for all of us!!
I took Bobbi's other little boy home with me while she had to attend school with Easton. It was Hudson's birthday that day. He didn't mind though, he had fun playing with Rylee. By-the-way, Easton didn't have a problem going to school the next day or the next. He's doing fine! He just wanted to have a good story for his first day of kindergarten. It will make for a good story when it's time to put his wedding video together.
Brinley loved her first day. They celebrated her birthday and everything. Who could ask for a better day. She's the youngest one in her class and that worries me a little, but so far she's doing just fine! I think we have another "smarty farty" in the family. Just like her older sister Baylee.

Monte L. Bean Museum

Baylee completed the 2nd grade in the middle of June. She loved being in the 2nd grade and loved her teacher Mrs. Rouse! She also has a best friend named Madi (Brin's best friend is Maddi also). Baylee and Madi have been in the same class the last 2 years.

Mrs. Rouse is a great teacher. We are sad that she will be leaving our school this year and moving to another school. I was hoping Brin and Rylee might have her also. At Parent Teacher Conferences, Mrs. Rouse could not come up with anything Baylee needed improvement in. She gave Baylee a perfect report card every term and nothing but great things to say about our Baylee. Yes, I'm very proud!!

This is Baylee's 2nd grade class smiling big!

At the end of the school year, I volunteered to help with the 2nd grade field trip and go to the Monte L. Bean Museum in Provo. It was a fun day with Baylee. We had a scavenger hunt finding different animals around the museum. I had 4 kids to watch over and help with the hunt. This is Cooper, Baylee, Madi and Drew.

Cooper had to touch EVERY animal even though there are signs everywhere telling you NOT TO TOUCH THE ANIMALS!! If the Liger hadn't have been in a glass case, I'm pretty sure he would have climbed on it and pretend to ride it. He also asked me the entire time there if he could swing on the elephants tusks. I think if he could have reached them he would have!! As a group we all decided that we liked the elephant the best. It was huge!

Baylee really liked this butterfly. It was a big butterfly made up of a bunch of different little butterflies. It was pretty cool.

Well again, it's hard to believe another school year has come and gone. My B Rose is growing up way too fast. It's off to the 3rd grade. Sad, but I still remember the first day of the 3rd grade for me.

Brinley's Graduation

I can't believe that my little Brinley is all graduated from preschool and moving on to kindergarten. She has been attending Golden Start Preschool for the last two years. What a fun night for her. She loved getting all the attention!!
Miss Kathy is a great teacher! She's so creative with these little kids. Brinley just loves her. She kept asking me the day of her graduation what she was going to do without seeing Miss Kathy everyday. I told her luckily Miss Kathy lives down the street from us, so she could go visit her anytime. It really has been a fun two years watching Brinley grow and learn. We have all seen huge growth with this girl.

Their little program was so fun. They sang songs that they learned from the school year. Every song had some cute prop to go along with it. They even did a little play about the 3 Little Pigs. Notice Brin's piggy nose. These 10 little kids kept us laughing and definitely entertained the entire night. We had so much fun watching them having fun!!
These are 2 of Brin's best friends, Jane and Maddi. Maddi (the one in the middle) is like my 4th daughter. She lives next door and is here almost everyday. We love having her here, she just seems to fit right in with the fam.
Here are some of the little grads...
(Notice Brin's face looking at her tassel) She stood there most of the night like that. We kept telling her to move it to the side, but she didn't want to.
Hopefully by the time she graduates from High School she won't have this same look. This was the perfect way to end a perfect preschool graduation. Good job Brinley!! We're so proud.
