Christmas Candle Light Dinner 2009

If you were to ask my girls what their favorite Christmas tradition is, they would all tell you the Christmas Candle Light Dinner. We love this night. The table is decorated beautifully, the food is absolutely wonderful, the cheers bring us many laughs and tears, the lights are lovely, and Santa well I don't have to say much about him--they love him.
My Mom always has the table full of fun goodies. Treats, prizes, presents galore!! We love it.
My parents give all of us a new ornament for the tree at this dinner. It always has something to do with our life at that time. I think Dan was the most excited. We got an ornament from the TV show "The Office". That's his favorite show to watch and my favorite time watching Dan laugh so hard.
We each give a toast while we eat our dinner. Even the girls come up with a sweet toast for our family. Then we celebrate Christmas by opening these firecrackers and find the prizes and crowns inside.
After dinner we drive around town to see all the pretty lights. We have our favorite places to go and we come across new ones too. After we head over to see Santa. The girls get their picture taken with him and tell him what they would like for Christmas. It was unanimous this year--a real dog that poops, pees, sleeps, and barks. However Rylee wouldn't stop talking to Santa. She had several other things on her list to share with him. Santa told them they had to be EXTRA good this year to get a real dog!!
Yes, we love this tradition. My parents do a great job with this dinner!! Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

Christmas Dance Concert

Boy have we been bbbbuuuussssyyyy!!!! It's been a good busy though and I'll give more details in a later post on why we've been so busy. But first I need to play the "catch up" game and continue where I left off. I have so much to tell about Christmas, our little puppy Max and our BIG purchase. I promise to get those posted soon!

First though, I have to post about Baylee and Brinley's Christmas Dance Concert. They look so cute and they had so much fun!

Brinley made Mini Team this last fall and absolutely loves going to dance. You can find her movin' and groovin' to any tune on the radio. She got to perform 2 dances this time-one ballet and one jazz. She was especially happy that her costumes weren't itchy this year, which made for an extra cute little dancer.

Baylee made Sr. Team this year and is lovin' it. She is one of the youngest girls in her class. This girl has rhythm!! She gets to go to competition later in the Spring and is working hard on learning 3 new dances.

Nice leg lift Bay!!

After the concert Grandma spoils the girls with flowers. Even little Rylee got some. Which by-the-way, Rylee started dance earlier this month (more to come on that one too, she's so funny!!).
I love having little dancers!!!
