Nice Weekend

There's nothing better than being in the Utah mountains during Autumn. This last weekend was wonderful. We got invited by our friends, the Carters, to go to a condo in Midway. The Carters live a few houses down from us. Bobbi and I serve in the YW's Presidency together. Our families both have 3 kids, each that are very close to the same age. One thing is we have all girls and they have all boys. Their boys are adorable! Baylee and Canon and Brinley and Easton play on the same soccer teams. Rylee and Hudson are a bit too young for soccer but I do see it in the future for them. Ray (father of the adorable boys) rode his bike for 100 miles Saturday morning for some marathon. Yes I did say 100 miles. That's awesome and makes me tired just thinking about it. Way to go Ray! Dan enjoyed a morning of fishing on the Provo River, while Bobbi, myself, and the kiddos enjoyed relaxing and playing at the park. We tried to go shopping, but there's not much shopping in Heber, at least we couldn't find it.

Baylee and Canon spent 95% of the weekend playing their DS.
Oh look, they came up for a smile!

Brinley and Easton played "house" all weekend. Brinley was the Mom and Easton was the dog. Sometimes I wonder what is going on in a 4 year old's mind. Right before we left we caught Brinley and Easton holding hands. Hmmm, we might have to put a stop to that right away.

Rylee and Hudson played until they crashed. These two followed each other around everywhere and found anything they could to play with. Most of the time it was something they shouldn't be playing with.

Double Trouble right here!

The weather was perfect, the condo was beautiful, the swimming was fun, the shakes from Granny's were delicious, the colors of Fall were amazing, and it was nice to have a relaxing weekend! Thanks Carters, we had a blast!!

Haircut time

Today I took all 3 girls to get their hair cut. It was Rylee's first haircut and she loved it. I've never seen her hold still before. She is always on the move. She kept looking in the mirror and saying "I'm cute" and then she would twist her hair. She has a mix of both of her sister's hair. It's very curly in the back and straight as can be in the front. It is slowly starting to curl more. I'm hoping she'll have curlies like her big sister Brinley.

Brinley didn't want her hair cut. She likes her crazy curlies. She wants to grow it out like Ariel's hair from the Little Mermaid. She wants it long and wavy. So we only trimmed hers up a bit.

Baylee shocked me when she got in the chair and told the lady that she wanted short hair. She cut 5 inches off. I wasn't sure I wanted her to do that but she really wanted to. Her hair grows so fast that it will be long again in no time at all.

It's hard to tell how short her hair is now because they put her hair in braids.

We had a fun day today. After, we went shopping and had a caramel apple. Rylee kept telling everyone we saw hi and that she's cute. Looks good girls!!

Wrapped around her little finger

Brinley is definitely a Mama's Girl but she has her Daddy's eyes. I love this picture of these two. Their eyes are the same blue/green/grey color. They remind me of the ocean in the Caribbean. She also has his big smile. Which was the first thing I fell in love with. All she has to do is give me that big smile and she usually gets what she wants. She's got me wrapped around her little finger -- I know! This picture was taken at the Riverton Arts Festival last Spring when the girls danced there.

Utah State Fair

We went last week to the Utah State Fair. Grandpa-Fireman-Paramedic Jed was working there that day making sure everyone was safe. He gave us the Royal Treatment while we were there. We got free admission, rides around the park on the official paramedic truck (which was a golf cart) and about $150.00 worth of free tickets for the rides. Boy were we lucky! The girls had a blast riding the golf cart and all the rides. Even little Ry Ry liked the rides. We enjoyed great food, lots of sweets, and shopping (at least Grandma Debbie and I did). Thanks Grandpa Jed for all the free stuff. We had a great day!!

Yes Brinley, it's time for preschool

Since the day Baylee started school in July, Brinley has asked me if it was time for her preschool to start. Unfortunely she had to wait until the first week of September. So for a month and a half I had to tell her that it's not preschool day yet (it got very old). FINALLY the big day came and she was soooooo very excited. She has preschool 3 days a week from 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm. I love it because that's when Rylee takes a nap, so I get a little free time. The morning of the 1st day of preschool I think she asked me over a 100 times if it was time to go yet. She finally made it there and enjoyed every bit of it. She went to the same preschool last year and she loves her teacher Miss Kathy. We have been working on her writing. She's very proud that she can write her first and last name. It's taken a while to get her there but she has mastered it. Enjoy the pictures, she loves to pose.

1st Day of the 2nd Grade

Baylee started 2nd grade back in July (yes we are on year round school). She is loving school. Her teacher calls her a Gem. Of course we already new that! We are very proud of her for her hard work. She comes home from school everyday and gets right to work on her reading and homework. Her favorite thing in school is drawing/art time and P.E. She also loves school lunch - especially days when they have Navajo Tacos. We call her a "Smarty Farty" because she is just too smart for her parents. Keep up the good work B-Rose!

Finally a Blogger!

It's taken a while to get this up and going, but finally we're here. We hope you'll enjoy reading just as much as we'll enjoy posting! Enjoy reading the crazy DAYZ with the DOWDLES.
